The meaning behind the name
Milele Means
Forever.
We believe wild animals belong in the wild. But when returning there is no longer possible — or captivity is the only world an animal has ever known — responsibility does not disappear.
It becomes the work of creating a life with dignity, stimulation, excellent care, meaningful relationships and as much choice as circumstances allow. Milele means “forever” in Swahili. For us, forever is a promise measured one ordinary day at a time.
